If it rains, please provide a covering (tent or patio) so the chef can cook and stay dry. Weather-related cancellations are the customer's responsibility within 48 hours of the party.

Based on your Florida ZIP code — we confirm the exact travel fee with you before your event.

Have cash ready on event day. If paying by credit card, you'll be charged a few days before the event.

Food order and headcount can be confirmed the week of your event via text.

Dec–Apr Peak season

Snowbirds, holidays and spring break fill Florida vacation homes. Weekend dates go first — book early.

Jan–Mar Event season

Gasparilla in Tampa (Jan 30, 2027), Speedweeks and the Daytona 500 in February, spring training, then Calle Ocho and Bike Week in March.

May & Sep Lovebug weeks

Lovebugs swarm for a few weeks each spring and late summer. They don't bite — just expect a few uninvited guests.

Late May–mid Oct Rainy season

Storms usually build mid-to-late afternoon. A sunset start and a covered backup spot keep the show going.

Jun 1–Nov 30 Hurricane season

Watch the forecast. Rescheduling is free with 48+ hours notice; inside 48 hours the $200 late-change fee applies.

Oct–Nov Snowbirds return

Pool decks, lanais, gated resorts, afternoon storms — a Florida hibachi night has a few local details worth planning for.

Pool deck, lanai or driveway

At a house or vacation rental, the chef needs about 8×8 ft of level ground, away from screens, umbrellas, pool floats and anything that can melt.

Condos, townhomes & apartments

Florida's fire code doesn't allow grills on balconies, under overhangs or within 10 feet of multifamily buildings. Plan a ground-level spot your building approves.

Gated communities & resorts

Many Kissimmee, Naples and 30A communities have a guard gate. Add the chef to your guest list or send the gate code with your booking.

Rental host & HOA

Check your rental agreement or HOA rules for outdoor propane grilling before you book — and send a photo of the setup spot if it's tight.

Afternoon storms

Rainy-season storms often roll in mid-afternoon. A covered lanai, an open-sided tent or an open garage keeps the chef cooking.

Heat & no-see-ums

Summer evenings stay hot and sticky. Set out water and shade; a box fan near the table helps with no-see-ums at dusk near the water.

Hurricane season

June 1 through November 30. If a storm is coming, reschedule free with 48+ hours notice.

Panhandle time zone

Pensacola, Destin, 30A and Panama City Beach are on Central Time. Double-check your start time when you book.
